Bringing Order to Things: A Central DAM for the Penguin Random House Publishing Group

SiteFusion & Penguin Random House at the Digital Conference systems@work 2022

On April 6, 2022, the first-ever systems@work digital conference took place online, featuring the overarching theme: “Best Practices and Trends in the Selection and Implementation of CMS, Editorial, and Publishing Systems.

SiteFusion supported this new event format as a sponsor and participated with a featured presentation. Thomas Weinberger (Managing Director, SiteFusion), Susanne Senz (DAM Manager, Penguin Random House Publishing Group), and Armin Köhler (Head of Digital Production, Penguin Random House Publishing Group) offered practical insights into a joint project during the conference organized by Digital Publishing Report and Berlin Consulting.

SiteFusion serves as the central Digital Asset Management (DAM) system for the Penguin Random House Publishing Group. Since autumn 2021, SiteFusion has been supporting the production processes for new publications.
Communication and data exchange with service providers are now workflow-driven via the SiteFusion Portal. All production data is collected and categorized within the system. In the next stage of development, media rights and licensing information will also be managed via SiteFusion and integrated with production workflows.

Attendees were treated to in-depth insights into innovative approaches to implementing CMS, editorial, and publishing systems. The presentation, titled “Bringing Order to Things: A Central DAM for the Penguin Random House Publishing Group,” took place from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and was followed by a Q&A session.
